The SCM Series is a high-quality series of solar modules designed to meet exceptional system and module performance. REC manufactures its own silicon, wafers, cells and modules and does extensive quality control throughout the complete production process. REC Solar can be depended upon to provide modules that are manufactured to the highest standards of quality from beginning to end.

The SCM Series utilizes 60 high-efficiency, multi-crystalline 6.14 inch (156mm) square cells. The modules provide outstanding performance in low-light conditions due to their special glass treatment. The easy-access rear junction box has built-in bypass diodes to minimize the effects of shading. The laminate’s Tedlar backing and anodized aluminum frame ensures many years of peak performance. The modules are designed to withstand heavy snow and wind conditions.

Quick Installation
REC Solar offers Multi-Contact Solarline 2 (MC4) locking connectors allow quick and easy inter-module connection, and system installation. The MC Flex-Sol double-insulated output wiring provides for safer array wiring, and makes the SCM Series compatible with the use of transformerless inverter technology. This insures that the SCM Series is ready today to work with tomorrow’s inverter technologies.

The REC Solar SCM Series series generates reliable and environmentally friendly electricity. The cell and module production processes are designed to maximize recycling and reduce environmental impact. REC polysilicon is manufactured in the US (Moses Lake, WA and Butte, MO). The Sunmodule heralds an innovative new module concept from SolarWorld. The fully automated production process at the SolarWorld factories creates a module quality that is consistently high, which in turn will ensure high yields for the long term. The glass is set deep into the module frame and they are firmly attached to each other by silicone that is applied with continuous precision. This guarantees exceptional rigidity for the entire module and stops any possible loosening of the frame as a result of strong outward forces in cases such as sliding of heavy snow. Tests carried out in accordance with IEC 61215, applying loads up to 5.4 kN/m2, confirm that the module can withstand high loads such as heavy accumulations of snow and ice.

The newly developed treatment method processes multi-crystalline silicon cells in order to produce a surface texture that minimizes surface reflectance and maximizes output. The result is a maximum conversion efficiency of 16+ %, one of the highest conversion efficiencies in the polycrystalline module industry.

d.Blue is ideal for installation on all types of buildings, from residential to large scale commercial systems. The stylish dark blue cells, combined with black module frames, allow the modules to blend in with the buildings architecture while producing energy at exceptional efficiencies.
