Rated at up to 60 amperes of DC output current, the Outback MX60 can be used in systems to charge 12, 24, 36, 48, and even 60 volt battery banks. The MX60 can accept PV open circuit voltages as high as 125VDC. The MX60's control setpoints are fully adjustable to allow its use with virtually any battery type.

The revolutionary design of the Outback MX60 allows the use of high voltage PV arrays to charge a much lower battery voltage - such as charging a 24 volt battery from a PV array wired for 48 volts. This type of configuration reduces losses, increases efficiency, and allows the use of smaller wire from the PV array to the controller.

An optional Outback Mate can be connected to the Outback MX60 to allow monitoring and control of up to eight MX60's (or a combination of Outback controllers and inverters from a distance of up to 300 feet). The Mate also includes a data port for connection to a PC computer for data monitoring.

The Xantrex C Series (formerly Trace C Series) offers the C35, C40 and C60 controllers which can handle 35, 40, and 60 amps of DC current. These can be used as solar charge controllers or load controllers or load diversion controllers. They are probably the most popular controllers for all of these applications.

All units offer selectable settings for NiCad, flooded lead acid, gel, or absorbed glass mat batteries.

As a DC load controller, the C Series has a low voltage disconnect warning system and field adjustable set points that govern automatic low and high voltage disconnect. Each controller has a manual reset switch for emergency low voltage operation.

The C Series automatically directs extra power to a dedicated load such as an electric water heater and ensures batteries are never over-charged

Don't throw your PV power away! With Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology the Solar Boost helps you get the most for your money. The Solar Boost 50DL also provides the most advanced precision Multi-stage Pulse Width Modification (PWM) charge control system to ensure the battery is properly and fully charged. This results in enhanced battery performance with less battery maintenance. An equalize function is also included to periodically condition liquid electrolyte lead-acid batteries.

The Solar Boost 50 is so well designed that it would be a winner even without the MPPT function. The MPPT power converter can charge lower voltage batteries from higher voltage panels. For example It can accept a 24 volt PV array to charge a 12 volt battery bank. This reduces the array wiring to 1/4 the size. A built in LCD digital display monitors solar charge performance. The display shows battery voltage, solar panel current and output charge current. You can actually see current boost working by noting the difference between solar panel current and output charge current.

The SunSaver 10L 12 volt controller offers most of the same features of the ProStar line, but without the battery status LED's, automatic equalization or the optional LCD display. The SunSaver 10 is a PWM controller and can control up to 10 array amps (can be paralleled for 40 amps or more). The SunSaver's advanced design delivers outstanding performance and value. The SunSaver 10L also has a LVD.

This second generation ProStar has added new features and protections using highly advanced technology. The Prostar 15M provides several unique feature and protections. Morningstar's patented PWM battery charging has been further optimized. In addition, the Digital Display meter reads values directly from the microcontroller which ensures a very accurate voltage and current measurement.

The ProStar 15M provides for longer battery life and improved system performance. Included is a highly accurate digital meter, positive ground, and remote temperature probe.

Morningstar's TriStar-60 Controller is a three function controller that provides reliable solar battery charging, load control or load diversion regulation. This controller operates in only one of these modes at a time but, two or more controllers may be used to provide multiple functions. The TriStar-60 uses advanced technology and automated production to provide exciting new features at a competitive cost.

The TriStar-60 is UL listed and is designed for both solar home systems and industrial applications.
